The donuts are fairly smaller and they are a little firmer and falls apart, but they are so delicious! My favorite one is the blueberry donut, so please don't ever stop making that one! The staff is friendly and the granny is so sweet.

LOVE THIS PLACE!! I've been going here since I was a kid. Same family has owned the business for over 30 years. These are by far the BEST donuts in the Twin Cities! My fav are the French Cruller and Sprinkle. This is a great place for kids and truly is a neighborhood gem. For those that have complaints about the customer service, stop being so sensitive and just enjoy the drool worthy donuts.

Are there better donuts anywhere? I think not. I am especially fond of the apple fritters, but you can't go wrong with any choices. Been coming here for 37 years and never been disappointed.

I wasn’t planning on going here but one day I needed some work done on my tires. Whilst waiting I saw this place across the street. I decided to venture out into the snow and there I discovered this gem of a place. A good variety of donuts to choose from, all delicious, and hot chocolate to go with it. Basic but beautiful. The owners and bakers themselves are fantastic as well.

These here are the best donuts in Twin Cities; and we have some great donuts in this town. I grew up in WSP and, even though I live almost an hour away now, I still occasionally make the trip out to pick up a box.I saw some comments on the quirky owners; they are actually super nice, they're just playing, and if you play along you'll be treated like family.

We love Granny Donut and we even had them cater our wedding. By far the best donuts in the Twin Cities!

I went there today and the old guy was so rude. People like this don't deserve to buy from them. The donuts look old and not fresh.

Best darn donuts ever. Literally.

The owners are amazing and a true definitions of the american dream. They have been there for over 32 years. They were from sun up to Sunday and love what they do. The prices are way better than any other coffe shop and you get to support a good old fashion local business. This morning I was early for work so I stopped and grabbed a cup of coffee and a cherry glazed donut. They also have a good deal on donut holes.

Terrible customer service, but very good donuts at a reasonable price. Appears to be husband & wife operation of an older couple. Husband was extremely rude & not helpful. We hadn’t been there so we weren’t very quick at ordering. The husband quickly grew exasperated with us even though there was no one else there at the time. In the end he wanted to pull a “Soup Nazi” from Seinfeld & refuse to sell us donuts. Wife was nice & tried to calm him down.

This place is the real deal. Excellent old fashioned and fritters! Love the owners. I told him once, “I live in south Minneapolis so I don’t make it over here as often as I’d like”. His reply: “Too bad for you. You have to eat inferior donuts”

My son and I have been visiting this establishment for many years and find the donuts to be the best we have ever had. It is a plus that the owner ( wang ) is always nice and full of jokes.

I always forget they are cash only, seriously get with the times and take a credit card. And if you want charge a 3% conveyance fee for a credit card or offer a 3% cash discount

Small, family run, shop with delicious donuts. Prices are comparable to any gas station, but the donuts are on another level. Prepare for some friendly banter from the guy to behind the counter.

Didn’t experience any rudeness at all; only warm service and some of the best donuts I’ve ever had. They even hooked my toddler up with a bunch of free donut holes. The blueberry old fashioned is absolutely fantastic, as is the apple fritter, but everything I’ve had here is delicious. Bring cash and expect the owners to organize your purchase so you get the best/most simplified price. I did not feel they were trying to cheat me; rather just be economical for both themselves and the customer.

Best donuts in the city, no doubt! Dont let the comments about the owners attitude discourage you. Hes harmless and just trying to make the experience memorable, such a funny guy in my opinion. Price is exceptional for the quality. I'll be damned if I ever go to or let my friends go to another place when we're craving donuts.

My wife and I went when she was 8 months pregnant. We didn’t know it was CASH only. The owner still let us have our donuts and said that we can pay for them next time we came in. We went to an ATM down the street and came back right away. I paid for the donuts and tried to give him a tip but he wouldn’t accept it because he said we are going to need it for our new baby. I don’t know many places that would do this. Oh, the donuts are the best I’ve ever had too!

The owner is fantastic and so is everyone who works here! The doughnuts are the best I've ever had and I can no longer eat then from anywhere else! :)

I can confirm what a few other reviews have stated - the customer service is bad. The staff is very impatient and will show frustration if you don't know what you want to order immediately (and we went at 2 PM - there were no other customers in the establishment). The donuts were good, but I can't recommend this place under any circumstance.

Incredible local business. The woman working was so nice and pleasant to talk to. Price is extremely reasonable and the donuts were amazing! So drop in and enjoy local homemade fresh donuts!

Awesome! Classic donuts the way I like them. Unlike these newer hip donut shops with cereal or bacon bits that are over $2, this shop's got the classic ones that absolutley delicious. Cash only. The two owners are clearly senior citizens' age. They move slower, but are super kind. They offer my two small children extra treats. I would go back for sure.

The couple who run this bakery are outstanding. Delicious classic donuts. Some reviewers complain that the gentleman who spends 70 hours per week making excellent donuts is too caustic for them; I think he is delightful. His wife is the sweetest. These two deserve 100% of your donut budget.

Love the old man that runs this place. He is definitely like the Soup Nazi, but he's mostly joking with you. He always gives us an extra donut that he doesn't charge us for. The donuts are just okay, but the experience is great.

The best blueberry donut I have ever had! They are slightly crispy on outside and still moist inside...not to “cakey” like other shops. We stop there every time we are in St Paul for soccer. 100% recommend. Owners are lovely.

Love the donuts there in my opinion, the best in the city's, highly recommend for the office or just for yourself it's a great treat! For larger orders I would call ahead for assistance making sure that you have enough for your event. Just a suggestion😉

Do you like donuts? It's not like the interaction changes what it tastes like, so go for it. They're decent enough donuts.
